Problems with Black Texture in Game - HELP · C&C Labs Forums

Hi Guys,

im new to world builder, ive downloaded a couple maps from the site (Awesome work guys btw!! ) and put the original in my maps dir, and created a copy and changed the name and given it a couple tweaks then copied it to my maps dir.. the problem is when im in a skirmish or network game the map works fine but the texture, say green grass shows up as black, and the cliffs and all black.. all the building are ok and ore nodes etc, the roads are ok.. its just the textures, this happens with the original untouched and the modified map..

any halp would be much appreciated..

This is normal in WB when you have a high level of detail set..

View -> Set LOD

(The option is way down at the bottom of the options dropdown)

If the textures are black within the game, then try changing your games graphics settings - you may need to experiment a little with different settings:

the problem is, i have changed back the LOD in WB to high instead of very high and saved the map.. no change the texture and is still black in game.. i havent made any changes to the in game video settings and the map was running fine 1day ago.. i have even tried the original map on another computer and still have the black texture.. i dont understand what could have changed since i last played the map

This also used to happen before patching the game.. I'm assuming of course that you are up to date with the patches? (1.12 I think is the latest)
