Thought id mention that Im working on a mod for C&C 3 ,
C&C 3 Sail the 7 Seas.

Huge changes planned due for release in basic stage next year before talk like a pirate day 2012.
Hosted at this time by moddb.com
where I am sharing some image updates and taking feedback and suggestions seriously.
It will be Pirate themed where possible taking this game to an entirely different timeline.
1600-1850 eras mostly
Whiles the modifications under development Its much more likely suggestions can be implemented.

Team Consists of a small band of individuals committed to seeing this mod through to a release.
Myself - with 10 + years of C&C mapping (okay the first 6 years my maps were not so hot)
Madabia - maker of his own functional mod Halo RTS for C&C 3 (and the one i bug the most about coding issues)
Smallchange - Our little mods leader a fellow mapper + modeller.
Pheonix - art consult & tester
Primal Sledge - provider of some images will make music for the mod too
Finnish Guy -mapper
Koncrete - storymaker seems busy possibly not involed
AND LAST MOST IMPORTANTLY
Colonelwog who has allowed us to bring across so many buildings It isn't funny its awesome!

There will also be models used from so many people it will be a headache to read if I list them all here. they will be used in accordance with the creative commons license that allows the makers to retain copyright of each model as this will be a non profit
Mod without the goals or should I say entanglements that come with money.
Note the credits section in the mods Forum and the readme when the big file gets released to the public.I think smallchange is going to make it an auto installer anyway.

Our mod will not entirely historically accurate as it shall be a game created with the intent of having fun.
Things you can expect to see :
NEW UNITS -
NEW BUILDINGS -
NEW MENUS -
NEW MAPS.

Well.. times up gotta get back to max these models wont just build themselves you know 😉

Congrats on starting a mod - it's quite the endeavor, and I wish you the best of luck!

It seems like you've assembled quite the team - do you have texture artists on the staff yet?

Here'a link to their mod on ModDB for our other forum visitors, who are too lazy to Google for it: 😄

No I have yet to enquire about a texture artist.. although I am currently quite skilled in photography and photoshop.
Was just thinking ill use alot of the textures i find online.. this will not be a commercial mod just some guy in his house making a big old mod.
I dont expect this mod to be as lively or showy as the forgotten mod however it will be quite some time to complete at my rate of production.. sorry about that.
glad to hear people like the idea and the fact im working on it.
