Hello!

I've got a question about scripting with WorldBuilder.
I like to make AOD maps, but I can't make one fully accomplished due
to scripting. So I had a map finished, an AOD map with like 15 waves in total, but when I tested it, it just stopped at like wave 2 while the scripting was ok. So after a month I just stopped with it and started with another map, which I encoutered another problem.

I wanted to make a funny sequence in the map, which I will attach to this post, and when it starts to do the sequence, it will fastforward or something weird. I really want to know, what I am doing wrong with both of these maps, or maybe WorldBuilder has bugs within the scripting section?

The "FastForward" Map is "War of the Century".
The other map with the problem is "Military War of Defence 2".

You know, someone while ago posted this same map. (it might have a few differences though.) Did you get online?

With the "War of the Century by Apoc", all the other player will see "MISSING: 'intro1'" for all the captiona. If you haven't read the link above do it now. It also says on what to do about the text. I noticed in one of your scripts that you used "". When this script gets activated the game will mismatch. Put the script over into the "PlryCivilain" folder & change it to "". This will give the host the money, but it's impossible to give other players money. But you can put UN crates near their command center so that they could collect those. Bring the enemy command center onto the border so that players can at least select it. When it's off the border like that, no players can select that position. Use a script to spawn another command center off the border in the "SkrimshAmerica" player so that if the player kill or capture the command center, it won't get defeated. In the scripts "Hunt" & "Attack Move" won't work with the teams. If you want to use "" then a team itself will have activate the script. To do this:

1) Change the conditions to "True"
2) Check "Script is Subroutine" & uncheck "Deactivate upon Success".
3) In the behavior tap of a team, you'll see places where you can select subroutine script on create, on enemy sighted, etc... You can select the scripts you checked a subroutine. If you select the script "Hunt" in "On Enemy Sighted:" then the team will start hunting when it sees an enemy.

Besides what I've said, I found no problems in the map. Although I did notice that you haven't put in any teams yet. You really didn't say what was wrong with the map either.

Also, thanks for the very usefull information! I changed everything like you said I had to do. Also, I had another problem like I said in my first post. You say that you don't know what it is, but if you play the map, you will see what I mean.

If you check out the FalseAlarm things in the scripting section, and the .STR file, you can imagine a bit about what I want to make.

Well, I might know what your trying to do. But I'd fell better if you just tell me directly what the problem is. I did play through the map, but I'm not sure what you have in mind. That map does look good, it shows a lot of promise. But remember to take it easy on the scenery. I made a great version of Area 51 with alot of scenery, but it lagged a lot with the waves! I made a new map "To The Death!" with no scenery & reduced waves & it plays rather nicely for an AOD map.

I'm going to guess that the units get stuck or spawn off screen and don't move, I haven't got a chance to look at the map So I can't be sure...

I fixed alot of things now, and the scenery does work in a bit.

Could I check your Area 51 map for the scenery, and the To the Death map?
I may get alot of information out of that 😄

Sounds like you confused movie scenes with terrain scenery. Scenery is just stuff to make it nature like. movie scenes shouldn't affect the lag. Oh! I just remembered, if you tell the camera to move to a place or follow a waypoint path, then the game time will freeze with freeze when played on multiplayer after the camera stops, the game time continues again. It's really weird why that happens. But if you tell te camera to follow a unit, then it works fine. Just thought I'd let you'd know.

Fleetatks, I wasn't sure whick map he was referring to with the waves stopping at wave two. On one map, all 6 waves played through, on the other, he hadn't put in any waves yet.
