For example fire base (Artilllery) , it cant fire over the patriot missle/laser battery ;
the same thing is between GLA stinger sites , they should also be able to fire "through"(around) beacuse its obvious that bunch of RPG mans sorrounded by sandbags could fire around just like normal infantry. ; that is wierd and so what must i do to set defences to fire through , maybe weapons (weapon.ini) them selfs have something do do with that??

Well, I tried looking for a solution, but couldn't find one. I've you'd like to try to get your idea working, then keep looking in the Weapons.ini file. Check to see what weapons like the artillery platform weapon or the bombardment strategy weapon has. (Because they can fire over buildings.) But it you do get this working, the defenses will also be able to fire through any kind of obstacle.

Try removing the "ATTACK_NEEDS_LINE_OF_SIGHT" element in the KindOf= flag in the Fire Base object code.

Then we'll see Firebases hitting friendly buildings that are too tall and is between the Firebase and the target, lol.

Or maybe the weaponObject.ini or ProjectileObject.ini too.

There could be some wierd results , but i usualy build firebases behind patriots and some distance away from the Base edge.

Thanks CommieDog , but the stinger site didnt even have the "ATTACK_NEEDS_LINE_OF_SIGHT" kindof. I don't know how to make it work with stinger sites?

EDIT2:

I removed the STRUCTURE element of KindOf , well the fire through effect is working , unfortunatley there is also an move-through effect for infantry and vehicles , and it cant be upgraded nor sold (camuflage in vanilla GLA)
i think that's not practical , any ideas?

Oops, I didn't read that part about the Stinger Site. In that case, you'll have to remove the ATTACK_NEEDS_LINE_OF_SIGHT value from the Stinger soldier (in \Object\GLAInfantry.ini).


Then we'll see Firebases hitting friendly buildings that are too tall and is between the Firebase and the target, lol.

I don't like for ex. when the stinger (or any) missiles are going to track the unit that was revealed when firing and has just stealthed when the missiles were in the air , regardless of the units stealth ability , missiles have a lock on and damage the unit when it's stealthed (eg. stealth fighter attacking stinger site ) Is it possiable to make the missiles disappear or make them acting they're out of range.
