I got home from school today and turned on my computer just to see this message:

YOU SECURITY HAS BEEN BREACHED!
As of 12/6/06, a third-party user has had access to your computer. You I.P has been Distrubiuted to an Unknown server.

Then it went off explaining how this is a serious "Federal offence" or something like that.
This really sux because not only is my IP avalible to God knows who, But they can go to w/e site they want, an I'm taking the blame.

I'm so f@#$in pissed right now...

Do you use any firewalls or anything?
I have never had that message, interesting.

Hmm... not really sure how that works or whatever, but... is there anything that you could do? like is it possible to change your own IP?

It doesn't sound to me like a hack. A hacker wouldn't announce themselves about some third party software. If you get infected with a nasty virus/spyware it WILL tell you you're infected and then make your computer go crazy. Hackers are interested in being quiet, stealing information, changing a couple small things, and getting out. At the most, they'll turn you into a bot.

Well, whatever it was, it compleatly screwed over my computer. My sound dosent work, it tool forever to get my modem to work, my Display settings are frozen at 640 by 480 and 16 bit low color (which is very annoying). And, to top it off, the drivers that came with the computer on a cd wont work anymore.

EDIT: I just found out my computer has a 4 year warrents and its still valid. I'm just going to send it in to be repaired or replaced.

formatting the harddrive and reinstalling windows might do it. or getting a good anti spyware or anti virus program and using that might fix it. never had such problems before

I just took it ti Circuit City and had them repair it. It works just dandy now 🙂 I also got McAffe Anti-hack software and a really good firewall.

I have something that even Black Lotus can't hack

I turn my computer off whenever I go out
