there wont be generals right now (those might come later), the gens side have the chinook and the ra2 side has the slave miner and the tibs have the harvester. we just need to give those slaves some bio hazard suits things. but when you get that suits upgrade for usa the only thing they get is something around them so we can just as well make slaves not be effected by the tiberium.

yes i couldnt agree more because when you use a supply dock completely its gone forever and a waste of space and when you use all of them on the map people start running out of money unless they have things like hackers so i voted ore and tiberium (this is directed to cdlords original post)
and as for the workers and the tiberium we could make them simiilar to nod chem warriors but no weapon lol

and if it regrows it's even possible to remove the things like hackers and then we got 2 less models to make so that gives us enough time to make this stuff right. (some ppl in the inside saying that this tiberium stuff as recourse is not important, i can't agree there because it would make the mod special and thats something that would be nice wouldn't you all agree, well by looking at the poll i think you guys agree with that)

c&c side is going to have harvesters, looking at this. i cant see how anything else is going to get tiberium. we could make different sides get different resources. its a rubbish idea, but at least its an idea.

we could do that but that wouldn't be good, if you end up with a tiberium field you got in your territory then you cant use it, so thats not really practical. having different types of recourses can still work if all sides can get every recourse but having just tiberium would be good already, i think it's the best recourse out of all the games.

that idea came from another mod where they already got it working to damamge infantry, it's done with an invisible toxin field which only damamges infantry and spread over the tiberium and over a small area around it.

i suppose its basically weapons like what the gla toxin tractor fires, but it stays there and it doesnt disappear unless the tiberium gets harvested and it cant be seen

I suppose that if you really wanted it, we could code the Supply Piles to look different to each army (Tibs would see Tiberium, Reds would see ore, and Gens would see supplies.)

could be but then it would be inpossible to make the tiberium toxic wouldn´t it? and i guess you can´t move units over it either then.
and it would just look good blb, and our mod is a war between the 3 sides so i guess we will have to take tiberium as a recourse, or the tibs wouldnt even exist....

and why would reds want tiberium´: it´s worth alot and you can create better technology´s with it because it´s advanced stuff.

well it could be fixed by making all RA2 and generals elite units to be immune to tiberium, but then it would kinda ruin the tactical bit "ambush them at that tiberium field with your cyborgs"...
the dev team will have to make some tough choices but once the mod is up and running they can add experimental features and remove them at their leisure...
id go for either each side seeing their own supplies or just tiberium or ore

it would ruin it if those units become immune to tiberium, we should just make it a new recourse thing with new models, not just change the supply dock model, but a new model from scratch, but best would be to try and see if we can use the tiberium stuff from that TS mod.

well the tiberium (when regrowing and toxic to infantry) itself would make the game feel more like the old games which would be good for the mod, and many ppl votes for one of the options which had tiberium. if we can only have one type of supply then tiberium would be the best i think because of what i said above in this reply and we could ask that other mod if we can use their tiberium stuff or maybe trade it for some TS models that they dont have yet, and as far as ive seen they dont have the mkII and orca yet so if we just ask that and they say yes then there's almost nothing else we have to do.
and this wont be stealing ideas because if it is then we are stealing ideas westwood put into TS long ago, ppl who say that this are their ideas are lying because they stole the idea from westwood and so more then half of our mod is stolen ideas from westwood. i think we should just give it a go and contact the guys who are making that other mod. (it's the least we can do)

and in the poll you can see that there are many ppl who would want another type of recourse, the supply depo stuff is kinda silly because where did those supply's come from? in ra2 the ore came from mines and in TS the tiberium came from those trees and from the big blue crystals but in generals those supply's came from nowhere, and if they where dropped there by somebody that would make no sense, why drop it there if you can drop it right into a guys base so he doesnt have to collect it. we are making a mod with stuff from the old games so we could just as well try this out and maybe in the alpha version see if it works right and if it's fun. and contacting that other mod is a thing we could just as well try, and maybe they will trade their tiberium stuff, it's worth a try.
