I have now looked at the structure page as well.

Did it answer your Construction Yard question?
I see this far that Tib and RA have 3 base defences, while Generals only have 2.

I don't think that's a problem within itself. Balancing it would be tricky, but it could be done.
And Tunnel Network is so weak I would not even count it as an base defence. Which means General army only have one base defence.👎

The Tunnel Network is not supposed to be a base defense within itself. You can put 10 units in and then pop them out anywhere else in your base (or an expansion) in you placed them wisely. In this sense, it's more like a Bunker with a gun on top, too.
My idea is to give General army:
Regular patriot
Regular GAT
Tunnel network

I wouldn't mind having a missile-based Patriot instead of a the Laser Patriot we have now. Adding a Gattling cannon wouldn't make as much sense, though, since that would be two power-hungry defenses for a power-inefficient side. I think the Chinese Bunker would be better here, although it might need a bit of tweaking to remain balanced.
Tib already have the Obelisk (which shoots laser) and it would be kind of boring with two laser based base defences.

Then we have a bit of a problem: the Avenger and Paladin also have laser weapons. Sorting technologies by side might force us to over-represent a side within eacho of the larger sides.
I suggest you give RA army:
Tank bunker
Fortified bunker
Tesla tower (remove flame tower)

This is a pretty good list, and I would be inclined to agree if I didn't want the bunker for the Gens. As it is, I insist that the Flame Tower be kept in. Flame technology is a fairly solid part of CnC (only RA2 lacked it) and (I think -- my RA days are far behind me) that the Flame Tower fired balls of flame instead of a stream like all the Tiberian flame units. That would make it stand out a bit more since we could make it fairly long-range without looking ridiculous.
Tib seems to have alright base defences atleast.
And Tib has flame tanks and infantry, they could have the flame tower too. (I know RA had the flame tower, but something could be changed)

Four defenses would be overkill. And three flame units/defenses in a side is redundant and crowds out more worth units, unless one of them is a special unit that needs a general's promotion. Even two is pushing the line -- I hope Blbpaws make the Flame Tank require the Tech Center. After all, the Flame Tank appeared fairly late in both the TD and TS campaigns.
