I'm not how a MOD works but I had a few suggestions. First, is it possible to create some ACTUAL formations? I mean can we select a group of units and then click a formation for them to get into? That would be handy. Also, I thought having the Green Beret calling in air strikes was really cool. Can you do something where you have a radio man who can call in multiple strikes or something like that? Please give me a response to what you think.

  • Unfortunately, it is not possible to create real formations in Generals. The engine only supports one formation (blob).
  • Another unit that calls airstrikes would be a little redundant.

thank you for your comments. I think one air strike is enough.

That is correct, only one formation. Wish there were more.

u know u can make your own formations. but it doesnt really workor sorta does abit u select your units n hold Ctrl+F. u will c an "F" on ur selected units. the only problem is when u have 2 turn. practically stuffing up your formation. it does work coz i used a platoon of battlemasters which were already in a formation i wanted. it worked smoothly until i had 2 turn.

yes. Most units don't go only in straight lines though.
