I've been working on a map for the past week or so. I've got the map ready for what I think will be a bug-free test (Then again, I always think there won't be bugs when there are). All I need are 2 people to join me over hamachi sometime between Wednesday and Friday. During the first test, I'll ask both testers to do some various things on the map to make sure they function correctly. The test(s) should last no longer than an hour. For people who want to test I ask only a few things:

1. Be on time. We will set up a date and time and I ask that you are there within five minutes. This also includes having to keep enough time open on the date and time to complete the test(s).

2. Follow my instructions. I need to test a couple key mechanisms and will require your cooperation.

3. Finally, you'll have to deal with my laggy computer. I apologize in advance for the lack of speed (256mb RAM).

After we are done testing the various things I need to test, we will be able to play a full game on the map which should give me some info towards making it more balanced and fun. I'll reveal my oh-so-secret map to the public when it is done.

Generals or Zero-Hour?

If it is Zero-Hour, I cannot help you test as I only run Generals.

I would like you to know that my computer can also just barely run Generals and it lags constantly (With the odd one or two occasions where it has been fine with 1 or 2 other players). I feel that the lag is not to severe, however it can spike from time to time and have some frustrating effects on the game.

However co-operation won't be an issue with me. Just so long as communication don't break down and you explain in your text messages ingame what you want me to do. I also have TeamSpeak 2 if that's of any use to you during tests.

If it is for Generals and the date is reasonable, I will do my best to show up.

It is for Zero Hour, and since I couldn't get enough people by today (Friday) I'll either find some people in the game lobby or wait for others to join from the forum for another date.

In any case, I don't have a very good PC and my Internet connection has been spottie so I didn't want to commit to a game online. I'd be glad to look at his scripts and check the logic.

Oh, well, I figurd youd be into that. Unfortunately the logic in WB at times seems to actually defy logic, in that things that should work can cuase crashes. For instance with the Tank General I have had issues getting his scripts to build nuclear weapons to work correctly where as it works fine with the other china's... Thats not the only one, but seriously if WB would just be "logically" consistent I would have a much better time writing AI scripts.

Edit: Along the same lines... I can get police cars to spawn out the ass, but if I try to use ambulances in some situations it causes crashes (not the cine_units)

I would have enjoyed the oppurtunity to help you test what sounds like an excellent map.

I seem to miss out on alot of things in this forum because I can't run Zero-Hour.
Nevertheless, I would also gladly take a look at the scripts and see if I can spot anything potentially wrong. Unless you are concious about it being released ahead of schedule to the general public.
