I want to enable certain unofficial maps that have been configured to disable the superweapons. I tried tweaking the map.ini configuration settings of the map but it doesn't take effect. On the other hand, would like to disable superweapons also in some unofficial maps.

You can use worldbuilder to make the superweapon buildings unbuildable.

To enable superweapons in the unofficial maps you are talking about, you can try to figure out how they were disabled in the first place then enable them.
