How does everyone think a Star Wars-type mod would work for Zero Hour? Like maybe the Rebel Alliance would be a GLA-like faction, and the Empire would be a USA-like faction. There would also be various non-playable enemies that could be encountered in singleplayer missions and potentially be in skirmish maps as neutral enemies (assuming that could be done in Zero Hour), like the Tusken Raiders  would have to be killed in one mission on Tatooine and a mighty Rancor  could be a devastating neutral enemy in a map around Jabba's Palace or something. There could be a Droid Army faction too that is basically like China where most of their basic individual units are crap compared to everyone else's save for a few specialties like Droidikas  but the basic grunts would be mass-produced cheaply, with Horde, and "trained" in two.

I think it's certainly possible, and there is probably a lot of people who would enjoy it.

Yeah, I kind of want to give it a shot. Not sure if I would want it to be a total conversion mod or anything, but maybe just make it a big addon to regular Zero Hour if possible. Add the three or maybe four factions, Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, Droids, and miscellaneous creatures, and leave the other factions in there. Add a few Skirmish maps and some singleplayer missions.

I doubt though I would want to do a true campaign series, but maybe have 3 or so unconnected missions for the three factions or something.

I'm rambling now. XD

Haha, I think Disney has better things to do than spit out Cease and Desist orders on any fan-created stuff regarding their franchises.

Disney likely has hundreds, maybe even thousands of legal divisions protecting their 'creative property'. Whether they have 'better' things to do (like make movies) doesn't matter to most of these kinds of companies.

I still think it's a cool idea, but it's possible they could shut your project down simply because it's got Star Wars slapped onto it.

Alot of companies cause trouble over mods. There's a couple of games that moddb doesn't let people post mods for because it causes so much trouble. From what I know, Star trek even sued a bunch of fans because they tried raising a bunch of money to pay for one of the star trek shows to have another season
