hi, i made a 3 player map with every player start on his own island.
in the middle there is a island where all three come together.
on that island i made 3 areas, also i made on every start island a waypoint to spawn something.
so i made (trying) a script if Player0 enterd with a ground unit area 2 than on spawn point 1 a civilian 2500 crate spawns. i know when a comp unit enters a area it works, so when a human player enter a area with a unit nothing happend.
so can someone help me with a script that does the following :
the idea is when a human player enter a area then in his bASE ON A WAYPOINT MUST SOMETHING SPAWN, AND WHEN possible every time again when he enters that area he got a new crate to spawn

So, nobody a idea when a unit from a human player enters lets say CombatZone that in his base
something like a crate ore unit spawns.
is there maybe a way when a human player capture a building that triggers something to spawn.

hi, thanks for reply but there are two problems.
one, i dont know how to upload the map, never done that, i think i should pack with winrar, and i dont know where i should post it.
two, i got the mod contra007, i make my maps for contra007, also the units from the mod are on the map, so i think you cannot see a lot of stuff ore you got dificulties.

so... you want an area. and whenever ANY player enters this area you want a unit to be spawned.

which sort of unit would you like to spawn? Only money crates or controlable units for the player who drove into the area?

is the spawned unit supposed to exist only once or is it ok if it exists multiple times (when many units drive into the area but nobody picks up the crates for example). or is -whatever- only supposed to spawn once?

you have to be more specific then i could provide you an example map.

hi, ok lets say on a map with four islands i make on one island in the middle the combatzone but to make another zoneis no problem, than i make three islands for three players.
on the islands for the players i make on eatch island a waypoint to spawn something, not the startingpoint position waypoint.
than what i would like is if any of the three players when enter with a ground unit the combatzone,
that on his waypoint on his starting island a money crate spwans.
I think a human controlled unit to spwan very dificult is so i am already very glad with a civilian money crate.
If a player enters the combatzone with only one ground unit ore with more units at the same time, only one crate has to spawn. i want no air units because thats too easy.
Than, when possible, if the human players left with al his units out of the combatzone ore destroyed by the other players, that let say after 60 seconds, when he can re enter the combat zone he got another crate, so he get no crate when the unit after entering the zone stays in the combatzone and that when the human player keep on driving his unit in to the zone that he keep on geting crates,
there should be a way for the other players to stop the one in the zone for getting a lot of crates.
i play with my friends on the map on my network so i make the maps so that we got not mucth money, every player got one suply with 1000000 worth of money and we can fight for some techbuilding and than i make a script that we cannot build money so i disable hackers,blackmarket etc. so every money what is extra to earn can make the diferents.
i dont know if you know the free mod contra007, but its free to download and install takes 20 seconds. its got three new generals mutch new buildings, new units, many new upgrades, and the ai is mutch stronger and attacks more and better, me and my friends play the mod for years.
i hope you can do something with the info for the script because i tryed so many things that i
almost need a vacation.

Okay lets make this clear now.


IF Player 1 is the only player with ground units in the combat zone, then as long as he is the only one in the combat zone, every 60 seconds a crate is spawned on a waypoint near his base. and that for every player. is that about right?

hi, yep thats almost perfect, with only that when he leaves the zone and come back immidiatly (i know,my englisch is not so good) he have also to wait for 60 seconds till spawn.
i dont know if it is possible when player1 enter the zone the first time, he got the crate at once, but when he leave and come back he have to wait 60 seconds.
so ,lets say afer 5 minutes player1 can get again a unit in the zone the crate spawn right than/
i hope yoy can fix suchs a script.

yeah ok. this will take me 2 hours or so.. wish i was getting paid for this ._.

so...........

i got it to work but it does work with air units. but it will NOT work with any strange air object, like a carpet bomber, or this spy drone of the USA. the spawn will only be triggered by units that cost money. so it does work if you fly in there with a chinook because a chinook costs $1200. i cant exclude air units because i do not know the contra mod and i would have to exclude any unit individually.

but whatever.

if you want to get this scripts to work in your map then export ALL scripts from the attached map and import them into the PlyrCivilian folder of your map.

in your map you need the CombatZone of course and the 4 spawn points for this crates:
Player_1_Spawn
Player_2_Spawn
Player_3_Spawn
Player_4_Spawn

this scripts will ONLY work with maps with up to 4 player spots. it will NOT work with a map with more spots.

also only use the first 4 game slots to put in players. do NOT put players into the slots 5-8.


if you really really really need this to work with bigger maps (and this is a big ass really) then i might be willing to modify the scripts accordingly but it will take a *censored*load of time.   crate spawn test.zip (7kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

hi, it works thx again, i thought it was just one script for eatch player, but you have to make a script for eatch action too, so i saw, quet a lot of work, maybe more people like
the script for on their maps, so maybe you made a lot of people happy.
And for more players, i looked at the script and i think now i got the right script, i can do it by my self, when not you hear me screaming for help.
but one question, how can i post a map and haved it packed with winrar ore something?

hi, me again, is it dificult to change the money of a tech oilderick ore a tech reinforcment building more units, i played some maps that the bonus is instead 1000, 5000 and then not 200 but 1000 eatch time.
i thought it was only possible with a ini.file ,i know what it is, but i never made some changes in it, because someone told me the map can crash.

The game replays team tested this on a large scale with one of my Map.inis. It worked for 9/10 players, but some of them still had mismatches, and the game was generally more unstable.

if you for example change the health of a humvee and there is nobody who uses a humvee then of course the map will work.

but if sombebody uses humvees (or at least when they take damage) the map will mismatch in 10 out of 10 cases if there is someone who has just recieved that .ini.

but there are also moduls (or whatever they are called) that do not affect the stability, for example water colour and stuff like that.

The map was distributed BEFORE starting up the game. I'm referring to instability even when restarting. It may not be pertinent after my last statement, but I'll answer the questions anyway.

It was a special humvee survival AOD. There were a ton of changes to the health of units, and there was a civilian building pre-placed on the map that could produce infantry. The map itself wasn't my idea and I didn't create it.

if you for example change the health of a humvee and there is nobody who uses a humvee then of course the map will work.


I don't dispute that. My first use of a Map.ini online was to remove the laser turret relay to reduce lag in AODs. There was a mismatch when the first laser turret fired.

but there are also moduls (or whatever they are called) that do not affect the stability, for example water colour and stuff like that.


Anything purely cosmetic, even most custom models, will not cause a mismatch. I discovered that by accident when I forgot to uninstall a custom tank model.

mmmm, i told you before i got the mod contra007, and the mod, when playing on big maps with mutch units, and against ai can caus mismatches, but what i saw on some sides that ea did not sutch a great work with generals and zero hour with all the bugs so when you make a mod for a game what already in the base make mismatches than you re asking for trouble.
So when some changes in the ini.files also make that the game can crash, i ll better stay out of the ini.files.
oh and i got winrar so gonna try it, thx

there was also a idea when you kill lets say 20 units you get a bonus.
