Hi, I bought and downloaded red alert 3 through origin yesterday just to try this mod. everything went well installing and trying the game. then i proceeded to install the red alert mod, everything was going smoothly also. then i go and try the mod i opened the mod up and went to skirmish mode. i choose the country and proceed to load the game before it finishes loading the game crashes...how do i fix this i really want to try this mod.

Unfortunately, I don't think any of the developers have the origin copy of the original game, so I can't help you.

I don't have the origin copy, but maybe the steam workaround works:

It was asked so often. It doesn't matter which windows you use. In Steam rightclick the game in the library -> "Properties" -> tab "General" -> click on "set launch options..." and add the following in there:

-modconfig "C:\path\to\the\modname_modversion.skudef"

You have to adjust the path to the location where you extracted the mod to. For Steam it can be in any folder you want.

i got it to work. i just have to set the countries mode of rush, turtle, etc. then i don't crash when the skirmish game loads.

Remove skirmish.ini from your RA3 profile folder.
It's usually stored on this location:
C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Red Alert 3\Profiles\\Skirmish.ini
