i am using a wak editor for a generals map, i have read the readme document and i have done the waypoints that are cruicial. but i am having trouble with this part:

Use the File->Dump Map to File menu option to create a text file of your map,
this file is saved in the same location as the WorldBuilder.exe and is called

YourMapName.map.txt

when i click on dump map to file nothing happens, no menu or pop-up. i have checked where the worldbuilder.exe is and it isnt there either!

help plz

It works for me, try Run As Administrator. It may be a permissions problem.

Have you tried dumping other maps, your map could have a save error?

Does you map name contain invalid characters: '(),.!?' etc

You'll find the dumped file in "program side" of the game. For me its.
C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour

sry but i just have to do this.

it could all have been so simple if you didnt ignore the advice that people gave you (read the ReadMe!!!).

Use the File->Dump Map to File menu option to create a text file of your map,
this file is saved in the same location as the WorldBuilder.exe and is called[...]

also i am NOT a troll. trolling is none of my habits. all i write i do mean at least a little bit serious.
