Are you talking about making an opening cinematic for a map, or are you talking about an actual canned video such as the reporter footage used in the campaign?

It is possible to make cinematics for your missions in Worldbuilder, but bear in mind it's time-consuming. Have you done much scripting? The first things you'll want to do is enable Letterbox mode and disable your UI and the beginning of your cinematic, disabling Letterbox mode and enabling UI once it's finished. You'll use timers to control different events, such as units moving around, also pointing your camera at whatever location you want using waypoints. You can get very specific in where and how you want the camera to be placed. What do you want to happen in your cinematic?

Give unique names to all of the objects you intend to use in your cutscene. Establish waypoint paths for them to follow, and write individual scripts for each action your objects will take. For example, start off by establishing a waypoint path for your ship to follow from somewhere off-frame to the place you want it to dock. Write a script which tells your ship to follow this path. Write a second script with the conditions When Unit Reaches End of Waypoint Path , only have this script spawn the units you want at the edge of the dock. I'll see about posting screenshots later on, but you get the general idea. Looking at other people's completed maps will give you a good idea of where to start.
