I made a crusader that looks different from the norm. but when it explodes, the original debris and crusader chases appear along with the new debris and the new chases doesn't. How do i fix this?

There must be something "attached" to the model for the original chassis to appear. Some trigger somewhere. Hopefully someone will know as modding files is not my expertise.

Have you examined all it's CreateObjectDie Modules and all it's SlowDeathBehavior Modules?

OK I found CreateObjectDie & SlowDeathBehavior but i don't see avleopard_d1/d2/d3 to replace with avcrusader_d1/d2.
also the mammoth tank debris also flies out of it, that's a lot of turret for such a small tank

Are you using the standard files...? Your mention of the mammoth has confused me.

Still, in the normal files, it's OCL_GenericTankDeathEffect, which links to DeadCrusaderHulk in Hulk.ini. That uses AVLeopard_D1.

The mammoth tank debris is found in W3D.BIG named gxmammmoth_d01-d12.
how do i replace it with the proper chassis without making a normal crusader look weird upon death?
