HEy everyone, i'm new to red alert 3 map making and new to map making pretty much overall since the ancient era of warcraft 2(ahh... things where so much simpler then)

but at any rate, i've only really hit one problem thus far and that is that i can't find a way to increase the gold in the ore deposits(that currently only hold 30k gold)

since i'm planning on making a defense map i would require tons of gold but it's ugly to put out 15 ore nored so my question is simple, how do i increase the credits a ore node holds.

thanks to anyone for any help at all 🙂

I don't have any first-hand experience with this, but from the sound of it it looks like you need to make a "mod map", which is more involved than just using World Builder.

Take a look at this thread on the official forums - someone there had a couple similar questions:

Umm... I seen the Ore Nodes in Empire mission (defend Pearl Harbor) have 9999999. I think it made by WorldBuilder. Where is it?

mission maps are a sort of mod maps...

Hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Seems to me that the RA3 SDK is a huge toolkit to use to make simple small changes like increasing the amount of Ore a node has.. I'm no kind of Modder, but I imagine it's designed for making large modifications, like adding new objects, factions etc and helping with creating new mission storylines.. So, to help with your question, there are other easier ways to allocate cash to your players, by using scripts in WorldBuilder, either straight cash grants, or controlled by timers.. doing it this way doesn't need you to place the actual extra Nodes on the map, and because you are not using the SDK - there will be no compliation errors etc.

Then again, it depends whether you wish to make other changes to your map, where the use of the SDK would be more justified. 😉
