This is a very nice 2v2 map designed by [NED]Demo and scripted by me.
(Note: I came up with the idea and I'm the main author of this map, so I'm NOT hijacking anyone else his work!)

It features an (as far as I know) unique idea I came up with about 2 years ago. It has tides!
It starts of as a normal no rush map, with 8 minutes no rush, after which the water drops.
But after that, a few scripts will randomly increase and decrease the water height (don't worry, you'll get warnings, and lightning flashes and rain sounds before it goes up xD).

Youtube vid:

This package contains the normal version, a no SW version, a limited version (max 3dz/3bm/6hack) and a no money version)

Ideas and suggestions are welcome 😁

The Map Looks Good.
There is a script line that I question where the script is telling the folder containing it to activate. I'm sure you are aware that if a folder is non-active the scripts inside don't work, so this script line is null.

You had submitted the map as a skirmish map but haven't set it up for this by making areas and pathways. I'm not even sure an AI player would know what to do with a map like this. I'd suggest that this be a multiplayer only map.

Yeah, quite right. When I wrote this map I was not yet really comfortable with worldbuilder scripts.

The map was actually only intended to be played multilayer. I have indeed not set up any special AI stuff, but they will work, and if you play against 3 of them on brutal, you're have quite a challenge :)

Ty for the feedback

I did play the map and it was fun, though the delay before the water drop seemed long. The USA Skirmish player didn't do well as didn't know to build the China version and waited until their USA supply center was available to build. I ended up walking away from the game during the second High tide and when I came back I was wiped out. I'll be adding the map as a Multi-only map but the AI will use the map. They're just not sure where to build defenses as pathways are not made.

EDIT: Map has been added to our download section.

Hey,

I'll admit I have not tested the AI thoroughfully.

Concerning the wait before the water goes down: when playing against human opponents, this will be less of an issue, and if you prefer a more survival like game, like me, then you can always do the no money or limited versions, which have a lot less money.

This is an archive containing all versions, but I don't think it's a good idea to go submit them all (or is it?)

You've got my email address now, send them to me. I'll take a look and maybe we'll make this download into a map pack. How's that sound?

AI Skirmish players are added to the map but base areas and pathways were never added. I found AI players built units and attacked when water drops but USA players have a big disadvantage because of the supply situation I mentioned that keeps them from expanding their base until after the supply restriction is dropped.

If anyone wants to add a better scripted AI to the map, feel free to do so 🙂
