Hi , everyone.
I've been making a few mission maps for Zero Hour for a couple of weeks now...
However , while I was looking at other mission maps(just for inspiration😊 ) I found out that they were all created 4 - 5 years ago,which creeped me out💀 What I wanted to ask is if anyone makes or plays mission maps for Zero Hour today or am I a few years late ?!?

I was working on a couple of mission maps too with Drummin, I bet a few people are also working on Mission maps now but they can't submit it yet since it's incomplete due to the large number of scripts. I was about to submit a mission map last year but it got ruined due to one crash issue.
In short,
People are working on missions but they're not done yet.

Thanks Turret Wars ,for the response 😄 Now that's a big relief ! So I guess I'll be finishing those mission maps pretty soon now
By the way , if any of you are working on mission map and have some cool ideas, You can post a screen in this topic and tell us a thing or two
about it


There's mine.In short it's an island owned by the GLA and the main objective is to capture that Toxin Production Facility😄
As you can see it's not finished - I've got more terrain texturing to do and looooots of scripting and base building to do :D
For now the least Ive done is that I finished the ( cool - looking) mission intro.   New Island.jpg (574kb) downloaded 9 time(s).

YES we love mission maps! Scripting is my favorite thing to do so I'd love to make some mission maps, just don't have much time these days. Let us know how it's going or if you have questions.

Cool Island look Ex.
Gaza in Raid will be a mission, it's simple, your the US and you must liberate half of the whole city from GLA forces. MOABs will be deployed every where around the city between 5 minutes, so the mission is really explosive. In half an hour the whole map will be blasted with MOABs so this is very difficult and your time is limited. The whole city will be patrolled by technicals, rebels, scorpions, etc.

Maybe the citizens are evacuated ?

I don't think Americans would kill themselves with their own MOABs. Actually, I would call those Rockets being fired from Hamas troops outside the city.

So it's gonna be a city fight while constantly being bombarded by terrorist rockets ? Cool! You can also boobytrap some of those buildings,garrison them or even put some RPG guys on the rooftops ( with the ignore physics script)Those are just some ideas which you ca use for your mission. 😄

I'm not suppose to tell you this but here is short peak of the mission's plot line I wrote in my diary.

52:52
BK:21
US Colonel Burton kills 6 rebels.
US Colonel Burton puts C4 in peak of mountain.
US Colonel Burton goes down mountain.
5 seconds.
Giant 5 MOAB Explosion on Peak.
Audio GLA plays "What was that?"
Rumbling Sound.
Avalanche similar to the US mission's.
Quarter of map destroyed by avalanche.
Cheering and victory soundtrack plays.
Screen fades to black.
Writing shows. "بعد فترة وجيزة ، حماس خاضت القوات الامريكية والقوات
الحكومية استعادت السيطرة على قطاع غزة. ولكن من دون رحمة
وأظهر مما أسفر عن مقتل شخص واحد. ابو نصار اصبح الحاكم الجديد لغزة من هناك وبدأت في إعادة بنائه."

I also like using those cinematic units. Also I really enjoy the missions with cool intros and movielike endings(every respectful mission should have them!) But I didn't understand what the first three lines meant.(14:42 /52:52/ BK:21 - Would you clear it up a bit ?)Otherwise I really like your ideas :)

Now here's a little something about my map:
First of all I'm thinking about making a sequel(or maybe an entire campaign! We'll see!)
Of course , since the map is an island, it begins with one of the satellite object.
About the rest of the intro I can't tell you much since to this moment I've changed it like 10 times or so.
Now the MAIN objective of the mission aims securing the toxin factory where the GLA have developped a new type of toxin,
so I figured I should allow the bio suit upgrade in the sequel(USA captures the toxin factory and studies the toxin then developes a protective suit against the toxin)
That's what I can tell you for now.


Maybe sometime we can create a mission together ? If you like ?

OK,been a month now since I started working on this island map and I have a problem which I can't seem to solve 😮

Apparently it's not gonna happen by explaining everything and hoping you can help so down there's the map and here's the problem

You have 6 rangers (navy seals) and your objective is to quickly clear a small section of the island WITHOUT getiing discoverd by

the other GLA bases on the island. And the problem is that as soon as you enter the small bunker right next to that stinger site

you get defeated (Don't even ask ...)



So, I'd really appreciate it if someone tried to help

P.S You'll notice that it's not quite finished There are a bunch of things that need to be done

P.P.S OK not sure exactly why the file couldn't be attached but I'll upload it asap 😄

Actually, it means at what time it starts and ends and which stage of the mission.

Well Gee... Maybe our site doesn't accept files with extra periods because the following letters are treated as extensions and .New is not an accepted extension. The site also doesn't care for spaces in the file name but will accept them at times. Hey it's fine with me if you're not interested in getting help. OR, why not rename your file to something like NewIsland.zip and see if it loads.

Man , I honestly tried EVERYTHING - renamed it to Island.rar(and . zip) , removed the extension and crap like that but NOTHING worked - I did what I could and I think it's obvious that there is some problem somewhere ...

HEY wait, the file name was New Island.rar in the specific error report I copied there - no periods infornt of the name ,so the dot you saw is part of the error number thingy ... 😄

(Did you seriously think I'd write something like .New Island.rar ?)

Btw I fixed the problem you heard so much about (in a little cheesy way but still works fine 😉 )

Edit: The site Administrator is out of town until 5/5 and when he'll be checking in or will be able to address the problem is unknown. If you need help with the map, Turret Wars line or I would be willing to help. Contact us through PM.
