When I download some mission campaigns from the Zero Hour mission download section, I extract it to the maps folder but when I open the Game and play the campaign the game closes and says somethin' about virus or hardware. I scanned the PC but no virus detected, can you help?:banghead:

  Bushehr_Partisans_Challenge.zip (215kb) downloaded 4 time(s).

I download the mission from the download section and it worked fine. Not sure what might be going on with your copy.

You should find some great ideas regarding camera movement and win-lose scripting for a mission. (Because I remember you asking about that.)

You're not playing the map on a modded game, right?

Well em..., my uncle who installed the game for me said that he made a few modifications. I play it and it has different features. Everything costs 0$ and I only need to wait for a second for a building or unit to be finished. I have no idea how he did it but he's pretty good with that kind of stuff. I didn't even finish the campaign yet because the Al uses the mod too. So technically I didn't download any mod, I didn't even know what a mod was.

That's probably what's causing the problem, the modifications made to the game are conflicting with how the mission is scripted to work.

Well if you can live without the MOD, I would uninstall the game then reinstall. You should be back to normal operation and be able to play the mission/campain. You might want to save the MOD setup you have so I would make a new folder and move both the "Program side" and the "Document side" of the current installation to this folder. Then reinstall the game. You can always reverse this process to get the MOD back.

Well Drummin, the problem is that I didn't download any mod. I can play without the mod sure, I installed the game from a hard-drive but it already had the mod. Only CNC generals doesn't have any mod. I need to pay 0$ for anything and I have to wait for a second for a building or structure to be built. I already did uninstall then reinstall but it still didn't work. My uncle likes creating new mods and trainers since he's good at that stuff. I don't now much about that kind of stuff since I'm only 10.

In short version: I installed it but it already came with the mod.

You have a CD set for Zero Hour don't you? This wouldn't have the MOD on it.

The MOD must be in either the data side or the the Program side or both. I would create a new folder and move "Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data" which is found in "My Documents" to this new folder. Then in "Program Files", find your "EA Games" folder and move the folder called "Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour" into this new folder as well. You shouldn't have any other files related to Zero Hour so as far as installation is concerned, it should be like installing for the first time. Use the game CDs to install a fresh copy of the game. Don't install from another file on the PC, use the CDs.
