C&C 3 Tiberium Wars: Factions: GDI: Structures

The following is a tentative list of the currently known GDI structures found in C&C 3: Tiberium Wars. This list is not official, and will likely change before the game is released.


Construction Yard
Making a return from classic C&C games, the Construction Yard is the heart of a base.  Without it, your main buildings cannot be constructed.  MCVs deploy into Construction Yards.
Power Plant
The GDI Power Plant is the main source of power for GDI bases.  It uses turbines to produce its power, and can be upgraded with two additional advanced turbines to provide even more power.

Advanced Turbines Upgrade: Increases Power Plant efficiency by 100% by adding two advanced turbines to the structure.
Refinery
The Refinery is where the Harvester unloads Tiberium haul. Refineries are critical to building a strong economy. They can also store a significant amount of Tiberium before you spend it.
Tiberium Silo
The Tiberium Silo is used to store the Tiberium gathered by Harvesters until it is converted into money and spent by your ever-hungry war machine.
Barracks
The GDI Barracks trains all GDI infantry units.
Command Post
The command post is the main communications center for GDI bases. It uses a radar dish to map the terrain ground around it and is a mid-level tech structure.
Watch Tower
This tall tower comes with a powerful high tech turret mounted on the top of it. It shreds infantry quickly, but is much less effective against vehicles.




Guardian Cannon
The Guardian Cannon is GDI's low-level defense against armored units. It fires a large shell that is effective against enemy vehicles, but much less so against infantry. When paired with a Watchtower, it is effective at sealing off an area.

Sonic Emitter
The Sonic Emitter is GDI's advanced defense. It fires a large sonic energy blast at enemy land units that does large amounts of damage, often killing multiple units in one shot.

AA Battery
The AA Battery is effective against enemy aircraft. It fires two machine guns, and can rapidly shoot down any hovering craft. Against fast attack craft, it is significantly less effective.

War Factory
GDI builds all of their vehicles, including the Pitbull, tanks, and MCVs, at the War Factory. The War Factory can also repair nearby vehicles.
Airfield
The Airfield lets you build and command Orcas, Fire Hawks, and other GDI aircraft.  It has four Helipads for use by aircraft. All aircraft reload and are repaired at the Airfield. Airfields also provide access to support powers that airdrop reinforcements.
Armory
The Armory is used to treat infantry Tiberium infestations and wounds, as well as provide access to more advanced infantry units like the Commando.
Tech Center
The Tech Center allows for research of advanced GDI technologies and for the construction of high-tech units and structures.
Ion Cannon Control Center
The Ion Cannon Center building provides the player with access to the Ion Cannon superweapon.  Only one may be built at a time.
Space Command Uplink
The Space Command Uplink allows for the most advanced GDI support powers, such as Shockwave Artillery, to be called in.
