Visit here for a nice little program that Mike, the Generals World founder, created: Map Manager that takes care of managing your maps.

alternatively, you can manually place your maps in the following directories depending on your OS (can be found here as well):

Under Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USER_NAME]\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps\
Under Windows Vista:
C:\Users\[USER_NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps\


(please note that the "Application Data" directory is a hidden directory
