I used to play this game online, and now when I try to connect with all my login data filled out, i get that message. I cant even create a new account because I get the same message.
Are the servers down for this game now?
thanks everyone who can help me.

I joined this forum just to try to see if anyone else was having this problem or had a resolution to it. A buddy and me both play online from different cities on C&C General Online. Since January 2009, we get the "Cannot conect to Generals C&C Online". So what happened? Can other people play online? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Have they shut the servers down. This is a major bummer. I really want to kick the responsible parties in the nuts. Probably some stupid windows update. We both run Windows XP and have never had a problem with it. We don't Direct Connect b/c we are not smart enough to do that. I just gotta say, that I hope someone has some advice. We have tried to look stuff up, but there is nothing but stuff about port forwarding. Which as far as I know, doesn't have anything to do with playing this game using the multiplayer online version. Just keep trying. I had the same problem multiple times. The Generals Zero Hour server is just about as stable as uranium.

Have any of you tried GameRanger? See this topic. I've heard it's good but haven't tried it myself.
