I have the same problem :S
just bought command and conquer sage today (the first decade + tiberium wars)
but I couldn't play zero hour online...
when I click multiplayer --> online, it looks for updates,
but passes it right away, meaning there isn't a a new patch.
But I can't join a game, because it says that i have another version.
And because it's the first decade you don't have a
ZH laucher screen where you can press update...
When you try it manually, so when I downloaded the patch you get
an error half while patching saying:
"Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was found.
No update done since file contents do not match."
So I don't know an other way to fix the problem.
However I borrowed generals and zero hour from a friend.
Installed them while using the serials of the first decade
and then downloading a crack.
And that works perfectly fine.
You can also download it illigal one, you need also download the normal generals too.
This is the only solution i know... i know it isn't totally legal, but then again
I didn't get a good working product either. >.>
So i don't think you can really call this illigal.
Btw I think the main reason it doesn´t work, it´s because with the first decade version
you don´t get the game.dat file
