I'm uncertain what the problem is, but make sure that their are no major scratches on the cd's, & that you install Generals first. Also, when did this error come up & which cd was it working on? Was it right in the middle of a cd, or right when you were switching ones? I'm not sure if me know any of this knowledge will help though.

ive downloaded one mod for this game and it ruined it. never do that again. What you might wanna do is uninstall generals. delete saved games. go to the start menu and click run and then type in regedit and then in regedit search for all command and conquer entrys. there is no telling what kind of garbage was left on your computer. |

Oh yeah, you also may want to delete the game directory folder. The uninstallation may not have deleted the mod file. So just go to Program Files & delete the EA Games folder there.

I fail to see how can saved games ruin an installation, let alone carry an entire mod with it that could potentially ruin the game AGAIN after installation...
