I installed Real Threat ZH, and every time I try to play it an error message appears saying I have encountered a serious error. Is there a patch or something I need?

Did you update your copy of Zero Hour with patches v1.03 or v1.04, by any chance?

Then, isn't this mod built for an older patch? If so, that might be the case.

I know this is an old thread but I have the same problem after installing Real Threat Mod. My Zero Hour is fully updated and no mods are installed besides RTM. Game crashes and I get error message before I can play a skirmish. Uninstall RTM - no problem; reinstall RTM- problem.

Did you try ZH with the 1.02 patch? We're not sure if something in 1.03 or 1.04 will crash the mod.

You might not want to update your patch all the way, this is an older mod. Try it with no patches at all or maybe just install a old one and try it.

Thanks for your quick replies.

Most of the many, many mods I've tried out lately are old and they still work fine with my updated ZH. I managed to play the Generals version of Real Threat but only noticed a few modifications plus the B2 was next to useless so I don't think I'll bother uninstalling/reinstalling my ZH.

Thanks anyway and keep up the fine work.Thumb Up

Oh yeah, if a person says in a sarcastic way (I guess) "ISN'T THIS MOD BUILT FOR AN OLDER PATCH?" then someone might read it as a query (question mark) rather than a definitive statement. I probably would have understood the meaning better if instead one were to say "THIS MOD IS BUILT FOR AN OLDER PATCH."

Yeah, your right. I was just showing you that it was from an older patch.

It says on the site that you can get old war-time weapons, (and here comes the dum question) is this permanent or can you go back to the normal generals, like 2 different games almost?
