Hi everyone, i want to know how or what is the best way to Measure a model geometry size for example :
Geometry = BOX GeometryMajorRadius = 65.0 GeometryMinorRadius = 65.0 GeometryHeight = 54.0 FactoryExitWidth = 25 GeometryIsSmall = No Shadow = SHADOW_VOLUME BuildCompletion = PLACED_BY_PLAYER
right now i do it by guessing and luck and i go into the game to check it then i change it if it's wrong and this way is really frustrating |

Well when you load a model like the crusader it takes up a 2×2 squares then compare it to the geo. Kinda not easy to pin point it I mostly guesstimate and it comes out correct ish just be reasonable lol. Because the model size is < the listed size by thr geo. |

A square in the grid of GMax/RenX is 10 units.
In 9q1p's example, the Crusader tank is around approximately 2x2 squares which at max 20 by 20 units.
An Infantry model is around ~15 units facing the x-axis, ~5 units facing the y-axis and 10 units high(as high as a tank-- a scorpion tank).
A good practice when finishing up your model is to center it in the world. |
