im playing it with my four friends and we are having horrible lag like a few dc screen in a min it never goes away is there any chance to solve the lag issue?

if you're on Windows, check your FireWall settings to make sure they're not interfering with anything. Also maybe check to see if your home network is ok |

found a solution! The issue with network gameplay is that the "replay" file starts to get too big for the computer to handle, even on high end machines. You need to make the "replays" folder read only. To do this, navigate to your documents folder, you will find 2 subfolders there. CNC generals, and CNC generals zero hour. In each of those folders you will find several subfolders. One of them is named "replay" Right click on the replay folder, then the security tab. Click "edit" and remove all groups except for your username. Click on your username and set uncheck everything except for read only. Doing this will prevent generals from being able to create a replay file and your network games will not lag. You must have this setting done on each user that you'll be playing with. Enjoy!
