Wuzzup, guys.
It's been a while since I posted my 'goodbye' to CNC Labs a little more than a year ago, and boy did i make the wrong decision. The reason why i 'left' was because i traded my laptop (which ran Generals good) and my dad's laptop (which will now be referred to as CRAPTOP). The reason: Mine could not play Minecraft, but the craptop could, this lead me to believe that my laptop wasn't good enough and the craptop was 'game ready', so we switched one day. Later I realized I had made a
big mistake, the only advantage that the craptop had was something to do with openGL, my previous one didn't run MC because of it. But other than that, it was pure garbage. The processor is horribly slow, making Generals impossible to play , it would lag really bad, to the point where I thought I was watching a slideshow. I was shocked, and realized that I would be stuck with this craptop that had a bad processor, a dirty keyboard, a broken HDMI port that only allowed pictures and not audio, a tendency to cut me off the from internet for a few minutes when there was no problem with the router, and the fact that it is plainly not built for gaming or any demanding tasks for that matter (im surprised Photoshop works on it). And because of this, it meant that i couldn't properly review maps, i could look at them in WB but that's only half of the review process.
Ok, it wasn't THAT bad, but you get the idea.
About a month later from me unintentionally leaving, EA cancelled C&C F2P, which was EA's last chance at proving their worthiness to me, and they screwed up by cancelling a great game and
lying through their teeth to this dedicated community. Believe me when i say im still pretty mad at them for basically betraying us. It's not likely that they're going to revive the series either. But that's a topic for another day
Anyways, since then I've been dying to come back here and finish what I started, reviewing maps, and after months of waiting , im finally getting a new game ready PC (around $1200 CDN), which I'll be building a day after I post this thread. So if you submitted a map and it hasn't been added to the maps section, check back often, 'cause it'll show up eventually.
My intent back in 2013 wasn't to abandon the community, unfortunately because of the craptop I ended up leaving the community for quite some time, and I am very,
very sorry for doing so. But I can say that I am very exited to getting back to business. I know that the C&C community as a whole isn't very active right now, but I am still committed to reviewing maps, making maps and playing the awesome games that are C&C.
Im Back in
Black.
