New Poll and Poll Results

Election Day in America is on Tuesday, so we'll practice by voting here now! ;)

As for the results of the last poll, I wasn't too surprised. Some people seem to be on the Westwood bandwagon, while others love EA. I can only say that my views and somewhere in between, though I do miss the good old days of RA2...Anyway, here are the results. Thanks to all 68 of you who voted!

Updates from CNC:U

CNC Unleashed, our affiliate, passed along the following updates to us.

We at CnC: Unleashed (http://cnc.unleashed.ws/) are now looking for 1-2 new
administrator(s) and <3 new moderator(s). Administrators should be long time
community members and/or skilled people with experience in graphics and/or
coding. Dedication is also a MUST.

Regular network staff members email forwarders/accounts, personal webspace,
and pearls of wisdom from some of the oldest members of the CnC community
are available upon request. We greatly emphasize on equality, humility and
harmony between our staff and with other sites - which makes the network a
great place to work in.

Note that we are going toswitch servers soon, and are planning a revamp of
the whole network. Sites that are ready to launch include BFME: Unleashed,
Half Life Unleashed, as well as several staff resource and hosted mod sites
for the well being of our network members. Existing network staff may also
contact me for any of the above benefits.

Post in the following forum topics to apply or nominate others:
http://forums.unleashed.ws/viewtopic.php?t=1782
http://forums.unleashed.ws/viewtopic.php?t=1733

The nomination stage will end on 23rd October, and the 10-day-long voting
stage will commence after that.

Those who win the election will be appointed as soon as we get our new
server (hopefully by mid-November).

Other job vacancies include:
- News posters for BFME: Unleashed, Half Life: Unleashed and CnC: Unleashed
- Graphic artists and coders
- Content managers
- Any other thing that you think that you could help us with

If you're interested in any of the above positions, contact me personally at
unidentifiedname[at]unleashed.ws or through ICQ/MSN.

On a side note, our forums have received a brilliant facelift made by fellow
staffer SEAL31. Check out the forums at http://forums.unleashed.ws/.

Sounds interesting to say the less, and I would definately consider it. CNC:U is about as democratic as sites come, unlike this dictatorship of a site... ;)

    Community Poll Updates

With not much news to speak of in the C&C Generals and Zero Hour Community (the EA Generals site was last updated in March) I'm forced to instead report minor tidbits about two main community sites...Both CNC Den and PlanetCNC have updated their polls. The Den asks "How old are you?" and PCNC asks, "What is the least used Zero Hour unit?" Go Vote!

    OMG IS TEH C0MMIE!!11!!!1!!1!

Hello again, visitors of Generals World. I apologize for the lack of screenshots for the last month or so. Between college, my unsucessful search for a job, and Blbpaws saying, "WTF C0MM1E F|N15H T3H @LPHA!!!11!!1!1"*, I've had little time to post screenshots. So, as proof of my sincerity, here are three more:

This is the Nuclear Reactor ingame:

Here is a screenshot of a Generals Elite base:

And this is a Tiberian defensive line, with Guard Towers and a Turret:

*Note: Not an actual Blbpaws quote. Generals World assumes no legal resposibility for loss of profits or property caused directly or indirectly as a result of assuming that this is a genuine Blbpaws quote.

    New Site on the Block

It's not often that I get specific news requests emailed to me directly, so when I do I try my best to follow up on them.
A new website, known as cncmaps.tk has launched. It's only a couple of weeks old but they do have a number of Zero Hour maps available to download that you may find interesting. Check it out if you have some free time on your hands. =)

Just goes to show you that the Command & Conquer community is indeed still growing, even if it is not as noticeable as it has been in the past.
