I have played this game for ages, before there was no problem, no lag and no crash. But now in win 7 there is lag and crashes. I have tried to use both win 7 and win xp and chosen administrator rights. I have seen a lot of posts regarding this subject. But I suspect it either to be gamedata.ini or aidata.ini. Does anyone run this game smoothly, lag free vs 7 AI opponents on win 7 64 bit. If there is how many cores do you run the game with? Max resolution? HELP......
I have seen MaxParticleCount both in Options.ini and in Gamedata.ini?
Thx.

Thx. Perhaps you have the game graphics and resolution to high (you can change this in the game's options menu). Depending on your graphics card of your system. THe better the card the higher graphics and resolution you can play with, and of course the worse the card, you have to play with lower graphic quality and resolution. Or it could be the ini's as well, and only factor it could be is Windows 7 just doesn't like it lol I run C&C on windows Vista and windows 8/8.1 |

From my experiences, the particle count only bogs the game fps down during large engagements. I run a heavily modded private version of Zero Hour with graphical enhancements (Bloombox, ENB shaders, Fog, Crazy particles) on a Dell Optiplex 745 (stone age PC) 32bit no glitches or crashes. However, the fps is awful. Without those enhancements, I can play against 7 AI's no problem.
-Try all sorts of compatability (xp, vista Service Packs's, 7) -Note the game will lag when all AI attack or move all units at the same time. -Temporarily set max particles and max treadmarks to 0 in the Gamedata.ini
Honestly I haven't had many problems concerning random crashes. |
I build mods. |
