Official Generals Single Player Mission Contest!

EALA is launching a new community contest tomorrow!  Here's the news from from Col. Burt:

Hello Community,

We are launching a new contest for the community on 5/21/03. The contest is for those who are proficient with the Worldbuilder and are capable of creating single player missions. We have some really cool prizes to give away and I’m hoping that the response will be good.

One of the issues that have come up is in the realm of eligibility.  This particular contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States (except Colorado) and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older at the time the Contest begins. I know that a lot of our friends in the UK and elsewhere will be disappointed but this is our first big contest since moving to EALA and we needed to keep it simple. There were a lot of legal considerations to be made. If all goes well with this contest then we have a template for future contests and hopefully we will be able to expand eligibility to a wider audience.

Here’s the link to the message boards where all the contest rules and conditions are posted. http://messagebrd.westwood.ea.com/cgi-bin/boards/gen/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=000001

This will also be going up in the news section of the official Generals web site in the next few days (www.generals.ea.com).

Feel free to post about the contest on your own sites.

It basically speaks for itself.  Sounds like a great idea to me... start making your single player missions now!
