Is this importing a map using the C&C 3 Map Manager? What map are you trying to import? Are you trying to import a Tiberium Wars or Kane's Wrath map? What version of Windows do you have? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit? |

Yes I'm using the C&C map manager. It is a tiberium wars map. I have 32-bit.

Is it a map downloaded from this site? If so, which one?
Is it Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7?

Hm, installing those maps seems to work for us. Can you post the whole text of the error message you receive when you try to install them? |

when I try to import a map (a zip file is the only choice I have) it says:" the C&C custom maps folder was not found. please ensure that you have C&C: Tiberium wars installed".

Oh. Try playing a Skirmish match in C&C 3 (you can start one and then just exit it). That should create the Maps folder. Then try importing again. If that doesn't work, try the following to create the folder manually: Go to "Start", "Run...", and enter: "%AppData%\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars". Press OK. (If using Vista or Windows 7, enter the above in the search box within the start menu and press the enter key.) This will open up Windows Explorer in the folder where C&C 3 stores its data. There should be a Maps folder inside there. If there is not one, create it (right click menu -> New -> Folder). Name it "Maps". Then try importing the map. Sorry for the hassle... I know I am late to the party but, I have run into the same problem as arap but I was unable to fix it. Specifically I tried searching for Command & Conquer 3 in the search bar and nothing could be found. I'm playing Tiberium Wars on a Windows 7 64-bit. I have Map Manager, and when I try to import any map it says "The C&C 3 custom maps folder was not found. Please ensure that you have C&C 3: Tiberium wars installed" Now I purchased the C&C Ultimate Collection, rather than C&C 3 itself. I've checked out other forums and done the whole regedit route as well(creating the "UseDataLeafName" Red_DWORD etc.) But I still receive the error message. All the maps have tried have been downloaded not created. I'd appreciate the help. Thank you. Edited by user Tuesday, March 11, 2014 11:22:38 AM(UTC)
