Ok,

A less computer savvy friend of mine, and I used to play Zero Hour on LAN, and are trying to connect on CNC-Online servers Using "GenTools"

I am using a copy of zero hour on Origin, and have had no issues, but he has an original disc copy from the Generals/Zero Hour pack, which was installed on an older version of windows, and then updated to windows 10. This apparently bypassed many of the installation issues many people have.

However, after installing GenTools, he got the message that he needed to update to the latest version of the game. So we found CNC Labs and he downloaded patch 1.04 for Zero Hour, and 1.08 for Generals, and installed both. Both installations took only a few seconds, and ended with a message window stating "Patch Successful"

However no difference has been made to his game folders, and the game version is still 1.00. I have had him check the folders for the text files which usually show up after the patch, and check the modified date of the folder contents in details view and no changes have been made recently.

So someone please tell me, am I missing something?

Thank You
