Hey everybody, I'm new to C&C Labs but I've been making Zero Hour missions for a while now. I am here because I need some playtesters for a map I made that's almost finished. Mountain Guns is the first mission I've completed so, no hard feelings. You play as Colonel Burton who has just crashed his plane in the Himalayas and has to find a way to escape these mountains and the GLA. This mission has a few modifications in the INI file and some new things you might notice while playing. The intro looks very professional, tbh the entire map looks very professional.
Took me a while to figure out how to get the gear at the very beginning.
It is funny what happens if you force fire the first snowman without having a gun :D
I am 99% sure the thing you did with the boat paths does not work the way you thought, I didn't double check but the boat patrol forming a single line of boats sort of confirms this.
Maybe increase the reload time of the sniper by a lot, making him tactical and a tiny bit less overpowered. Is it technically possible to add a "reload now" command button to him?
I like it how you will have a far easier time at the bridge if you hurry up at the beginning.
Very nice little details like the "police cars" in the mountains
You absolutely need to add an easter egg if all snowman have been destroyed

Thanks for your opinion on my map. I will be updating and debugging soon but the next version will be released with my other USA missions in a map pack. This will be far in the future, but all bugs listed here will be gratefully received and fixed. I like your idea about the kill all the snowmen easter egg, I have some ideas about that... The boats will be changed for the better. I agree that the Pathfinder is a bit overpowered, but I can't see how the code would work for the manual reload. I dont want anything too complicated. Thanks for your feedback, and thanks for not giving the game away!   |
