Hi guys. I'm very new with modding and need help.

My first steps in modding is a private mod based on "Virtual Reality Mod" with resources from other mods.
Many things works fine, but now that problem with a anti-air-vehicle.

The model is THAAD from "The End of Days Beta 06" and the shot works bad.

I test it with the VRM default tomahawk-vehicle-skin MRLS and it works fine.

Whats the problem with the THAAD skin?

To me it seems that it ether dosnt have a bone or a bone is the wrong way. Model is wrong or code.maybe launch bone is named wrong causing it to shoot funny. I've had to fix a missile based unit becuase the bone is messed up somewhere.

Hello and thanks for answers.
I use FinalBig and don't know Gmax.
In TEOD you have a "Deploy-Button" and you must deploy THAAD to works.
Was sure I can use THAAD without a deploy-button.

What I have to do now that it works?

Well since you don't work with gmax it will be a little hard as we don't know what the bone to the launcher is so it could be named anythin. Could you possible upload the model so someone who has gmax is able to find said bone. Or you could get renx/gmax and look at it yourself either way I'll help the best I can.

Did not want to give up to find the solution.
I copy the original Thaad text from TEOD vehicle.ini to my vehicle.ini
and edit the old Thaad text. After some changes it works!
But there is one more little bug, see on screenshot.
I will fix this too.

Hey its better then a big mistake. A rule I have before posting problems is to double check code/model in case I forgot anything. Most of the time I find what's wrong saving me from posting to the forum. But proud to have help??

In the beginning i copyed the text from ini file, but it was not working.
Now i have understand what was wrong.

Okay, now i have really a problem and don't know whats wrong.

I was following the tutorial Modding: C&C Generals: Creating a New General's Power
to give my faction "Nato" the nukecarpetbomb from nukegeneral, but its not working currectly.

He flys to the selected area, but he is not dropping bombs.
What is the mistake?

Thats the codes from my .ini files (just show the lines i added in the ini files):

Data\INI\Object\Nato.ini


Data\INI\CommandButton.ini


Data\INI\CommandSet.ini


Data\INI\ObjectCreationList.ini


Data\INI\Science.ini


Data\INI\SpecialPower.ini

OMG! I got it! Thats not true what the problem was...

For all with the same problem:

>>> Data\INI\ObjectCreationList.ini <<<

Go to your Object "NAME OF YOUR WEAPON"
and check the Payload (thats are the bombs)

Wrong: Payload = GC_Nuke_ChinaCarpetBomb 10
Right: Payload = Nuke_ChinaCarpetBomb 10
or (normal bombs ; not nukebombs)
Right: CarpetBomb 10

I dont't know what "GC_" is, but without this the weapon works.

From another game once modded GC stood for GeneralCINE Which stood for general cinematic.
