Hey all.
I would like to find a way to remove all FOW(Fog of War a.k.a. shroud) from the whole map. It is considered cheating but I just want it for map observing purposes. And futrhermore, I want it for Campaign, not online play to use it against players. I hate using cheats against human players. But CPU players who cares xD. So the reason I want to do this is that in Generals Zero Hour Mission 3, you can barely see what's on the left side of the river where Lotus acts. There seems to be an interesting area out there but we can't see all of it because it is never revealed.
Do you guys know a way to reveal the FOW in that map so I can see what's out there? I would really appreciate a solution thanks. |

Open the map with worldbuilder and add the following script to the civilian folder... Code:
*** IF ***
True.
*** THEN ***
The world is revealed permanently for Player '<Local Player>'.
You can find the script here: Map/Shroud or Reveal/Reveal the entire map permanently for a player. Greetz |

Wait can we open Campaign Missions with world builder? See I haven't messed with GenZH mapping or modding so I am noob. Let me know if and how I can do this please. Don't even know where the map file is for usa mission3. I guess in a .big file? |

Yup you can extract it to your Gameroot to access it on Worldbuilder (Open It On SYSTEM Maps Not On User Maps) Caution:If You Change Those Map: You Can Destroy your Saved Game (The Specific Map You Change Only) "I Recommend to you to Not to change those if you loved your saved game". Important sidenote is that you have to check if the map has a 'Map Name' set in the map settings window, go to the 'Edit' menu, select 'Edit Map Settings...' and check if the field behind 'Map Name' is empty, if not delete the name otherwise your edited map wont show up in the list... This usually is the case in Skirmish maps though so this is just a heads up...

Hm I see thanks for the notes. Okay so I used that finalbig program pretty laggy though... don't know what's wrong with it. It freezes on each click... Anyway, I exported the map and opened it up on map editor. Well I got all I needed. I explored the area I wanted. Thanks. |
