Hello again guys, I'm looking for a way to make rotating animations with Generals units, sth like this: Like a unit presentation video. My plan was to import the unit model into Blender, rotate it and render an animation as a series of images with alpha background, ready for import into my video editing software. I imported ZH Laser Tank and its textures into renx. https://scr.hu/zRYJwvThen I used export script and GrabListener to get an .obj, as this tutorial instructed: https://www.the3rdage.net/item-349?apage=380#pageThen I imported the .obj into Blender, and encountered this problem: https://scr.hu/WJdVVOIt's like a lot of vertices haven't been connected with faces as it should be. Can someone help, or maybe have other idea on how to make such animation?

I think it's because that's EA's Art Optimization Rule. For the sake of performance, they remove the parts of the unit that is not normally seen like the bottoms of vehicles.
Not entirely sure though. |
