I'm trying to change the targeting distance of the Patriot missile, Firebase and a couple of other vehicles because that stupid GLA buggy somehow has a farther target acquisition and engagement distance than a stationary base defense emplacement and it pisses me offAngry . I have gone through and changed items like attack range in weapons.ini and and sight range (or whatever it is called, it is not in front of me right now) under the engineering details in the superweapongeneral.ini(which is the only one I use until I get a hang on this whole modding thing.) I haven't been into anything like commandset or any of those. Anyhow, I just want these things to see and shoot farther. Thanks.

Rocket Buggy is supposed to do that, otherwise peeps who choose Marauders over SCUD launchers don't have Artillery.

But if you want to do this change anyway, then set the countering weapon's range to match that of the buggy and setting BOTH ShroudClearingRange and SightRange of the object to the weapon's maximal range.

Quite personally reading from what you've done I don't see the problem.

But have saved these changes?
Do you have the .inis in the correct directory?

I have made a lot of changes and they have all worked including the shroud range, but it doesn't matter what I put in for the others, they still shoot the same distances.

I have even gone as far as to put the max attack/sight/shroud ranges to 36000, so they clear pretty much the entire board, and the min to 1, but still they only shoot about 20 meters in front of them, and that quite frankly is just insulting... Lol. But seriously, a technologically advance faction and that's the best we can do, be out distanced but some punk *censored* in a buggy? I think not good sir.
