Hi all, having a problem playing Generals against my son - trying on a lan, me on my laptop and him on his. Whenever we try, we keep getting the message can't connect. Any help really appreciated. Chris.

If you use mods then both computers have to be running the same mod. i know i've gotten it to work via direct connect before, just put the ip address of each computer into the other
one soul at a time

What about Game keys conflicting.... Both computers can't be using the same key....

If both machines are using the same key the game will no connect, And its never the firewall i use to operate Generals with 3 of them, one linked to a central London server that would only OWN anything that conflicted with it....

That's strange I used the same setup for ZH 4 times at my home........

And still my brother and I could play ZH together....

I wonder why?

Well that's my advice done? to my understanding 2 PC's using the same cdkey shouldn't have been able to connect....
