Just a small advice, NEVER rush making your maps. Have you ever seen my USA campaign? I rushed making it, and you know it was really messed up!

Actually, would you be up to doing some .ini coding for me? I want exploding Snowmen that spawn Rebels when they blow up like a Demo trap, except that they're not stealthed...

And possibly a couple bootleg GLA versions of USA and China stuff... :P

Ehh... Doesn't bother me enough to fix it. Tongue Thanks, though. Keep that up there, might help someone who cares enough to fix that kind of thing. xD

Regarding rushing, definitely good advice to anyone.
I played your USA campaign, and I didn't want to say anything to offend you, especially because we had just met at that time, but...
It's kinda bad.
Don't get me wrong, the cut-scenes and intros are AMAZING (I personaly can't get the camera to do one thing I want), but the missions themselves are kinda... Untested...

Well, i guess in that case i'll TRY to get it done myself, but i'm a total noob at MAP.ini coding because it speaks a slightly different language to me then FinalBIG, and I can't even mod normally right now thanks to Censored Windows 8's admin/access/file saving insanity with Zero Hour.

but, I can always ask good ol' SocialistCanine and AZH for help... Assuming they're even alive anymore. xD

What I'd like:

- Assault Troop Crawler to carry 8 Rebels instead of Mini-Gunners

- GLA Bootleg Avenger. Basically, put a Technical gunner where the Avenger's turret would be and give it the Quad Cannon's weapon.

- GLA Bootleg Gattling Cannon Overlord. Take the standard Chinese Overlord and, for it's Gattling Cannon upgrade, put a Quad Cannon turret and weapon there instead. You might need to use the Quad Cannon's entire model and do some position manipulation because the Quad's turret is part of the model itself.

- Snowmen Demo Traps. Take a standard Demo Trap, remove the stealth module, and change its model to a snowman ("PMSnowman"). Make it spawn a standard Rebel upon death, as if the Rebel was hiding in the Snowman the whole time. Also, please make sure the displayname is OBJECT:Frosty so it will show as "Snowman" instead of "Demo Trap". This little gag is funny and still works for gameplay.

- I also need the Laser Crusaders and regular Crusader's to paradrop normally instead of just fall right out of the plane and onto the ground. It's hilarious, but it damages the tanks.

All these things are easy to do. Although I don't think that the avenger's thing will work in a map.ini but I'll give it a shot :)

Well, here's I've decided I'm going to do if we can't get this working right.

I'll make a new .ini file, but not a map.ini. I'll make one as if I'm modding normally, and make sure only to use this one .ini when playing this map to insure I don't break my existing mod. It's a crappy solution, I know, but I'm not Beng, here. Disapprove

Yes, I told you that I don't think it'll work in a map.ini, because somethings just has to be in the INI folder to be changed.

You mean to make the map for my mod? It's gunna be a loooong time till Domination is in a finished state. Besides, I want to do my Metal Slug Sound Mod right now.

I'm basically making one .ini file to put in the INI folder for Crusader Quest, that adds new units for this map.

I am an amateur modder and am currently working on one that is for private use, which I cannot seem to get to work, but I thought I would offer my small opinion. I was thinking that you could use waypoints for rebel spawns (without the pre-built upgrade of camouflage) with a script that spawns the rebels, at the waypoint, after the 'snowman' has been destroyed. Just my guess on a way you could possibly fix your problem. Wink Angel

Perhaps, but i've already gotten it working well enough. When the Snowman goes "bee-bee-bee-beep!" a Toxin RPG Trooper pops out and fires a shot, before the Snowman explodes.

Hi game, I'm sorry because I couldn't pack your files yesterday (Thursday). There was an emergent real life event, so I couldn't use the PC yesterday. And, my father won't let me use it today or tomorrow (Friday or Saturday). So, I'll give you the way, in the simplest way:
1- Copy your Data folder and paste it on the Desktop.
2- Open any .big file -in generals/zh directory- with FinalBIG.
3- Press on File dropdown menu (if I remember correctly).
4- Search for "New" and click on it.
5- Press on Edit dropdown menu.
6- Choose "Add a directory".
7- Choose your Data folder, WHICH IS ON YOUR DESKTOP!
8- Press Save.
9- Done! Easy, ha?
